Notes: All these individuals from Kerala have whitish rather than yellow dorsal spots on abdomen, spots on thorax are smaller, and the translucent spots on FW are smaller, too, making them appear a different species to Eressa confinis. Eressa buddha Zerny, 1931. Iris 45:4 has also been recorded from Nilgiris but I do not have access to the OD. Published as Eressa spp. pending further investigation (SS, 5 May 2022).
