Paramaxates khasiana: anal angle of forewing without large anal (brown) patch. Hindwing with terminal band (postmedial) incomplete in the middle.
Paramaxates posterecta: anal angle of forewing with large anal (brown) patch. Anal patch below vein M3. Terminal (postmedial) band on hindwing with lower part below M3 narrower than upper part near costa. (Inner edge of same band is relatively straight, from MOB).
Paramaxates taiwana : anal angle of forewing with large anal (brown) patch. Anal patch above vein M3. Terminal (postmedial) band on hindwing with lower part below M3 of same width as upper part near costa. Forewing with discal spot almost round, and much larger than on hindwing.
Paramaxates vagata : anal angle of forewing with large anal (brown) patch. Anal patch above vein M3. Terminal (postmedial) band on hindwing with lower part below M3 of same width as upper part near costa. Forewing with discal spot bar-like, and similar sized to that on hindwing.
