Lasiocampidae of Iran (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/229072222_The_Lasiocampidae_of_Iran_Lepidoptera) states that C. sordida might be a species complex and needs female genitalia for clarification.
Summary of Rachit Singh's pers comm. with Reza Zahiri and Vadim Zolotuhin over email with photos: Chilena sordida is a western species and Chilena similis is eastern. Ochre-yellow central and basal field on FW is only typical for similis (seen here). Sympatry zone is found near Afghanistan but S. Indian populations are more likely to be C. similis.
