Barlow, 1982 Pg. 228-231, Taxonomic note 61 on Mudaria.
Barlow mentions that leprosticta is similar in size and facies to minor but forewing costal and apical patches separated by 1 mm without a small white dot intervening.
Separating major and leprosticta. Mudaria major was described as a subspecies of leprosticta from Khasi Hills. Seitz states the following differences in the OD:
Mudaria major is larger in size, the sub-basal spot is more tree-shaped, the mid-costal white blotch is rounded, rather than oblong. These differences need validation and the two species are best separated by male genitalia.
Das et al. 2020 lists Mudaria major and Mudaria leprosticta from the Western Ghats.
