Similar species: Palpita neofraterna

JD : Agree with ID, do you have any reference for the similar spp. - P. neofraterna, it does not appear on Globiz.

MJR: I do not know about P. neofraterna. Palpita fraterna is a complex group of species. Palpita fraterna was described from India, Meghalaya, Cherrapunji [Cherra Punji]
Inoue (1996) described two additional species, P. nonfraterna (from Indonesia, Sulawesi) and P. semifraterna (from Sumatra). In 1999 Inoue described a further species of this group, P. parvifraterna from Hong Kong which has recently been recorded in Laos. P. semifraterna and P. nonfraterna have wider apical white spot, so your observation does not look like them. P. fraterna and P. parvifraterna are almost identical externally, with only the difference in genitalia. However, P. fraterna is larger (22-25 mm wingspan) compared to P. parvifraterna (16-18 mm). Moreover, P. parvifraterna has not yet been recorded in India and based on the observation location and type locality, I firmly believe this observation is true P. fraterna. We can safely go with that.
